B - BBEE Consulting Services-seshni
Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment allows all companies to be scored on a broad base and not only on black economic interest. Therefore, a company can get a good BEE scorecard regardless of the number of black employees or black owners in a company as long as they meet the requirements in the other (Broad Based) elements.
The aim of Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) is to right the inequalities that developed as the result of the Apartheid policy followed by the pre-1994 government in terms of economic empowerment, education and skills. The present government aims to close the gaps that, it perceives, exist in the above areas and, in so doing, to create a balanced economy through increased participation, of the black population, in ownership and management of businesses.
More and more companies are prioritising the need for transformation in their businesses but need expert guidance, knowledge and support to progress effectively on their journey and to translate this into a favourable B - BBEE scorecard.
Having a good B - BBEE score and thus status makes an enterprise attractive as a supplier, client or partner. In order to compete for government tenders, companies need to ensure that they have valid BEE certificates and have good scores.
Remember:
Your score counts towards your customer’s score …
Your supplier’s score counts towards your score …
B - BBEE is not a compliance issue……it is a competitiveness issue.
B - BBEE has become an important component of doing business in South Africa, so don't get left behind. Having a good B – BBEE score will create various benefits and advantages for your business. These include the following:
A B – BBEE certificate can give your company an edge over competitors and open up a significant number of doors for business growth. Such a certificate shows that you care and that your business is committed to making a positive difference in society.
Achieving the best possible B-BBEE verification can be complex. That’s why our expert approach makes the process as simple as possible for you. We ask you the right questions and then get to work on establishing the best rating possible for your business.
While businesses tend to have the similar basic operational requirements, they all experience very individual B – BBEE challenges that often require the expertise of a specialist. Seshni Consulting (Pty) Ltd. has the required skills mix to provide expert and professional assistance in each of the specific elements of B – BBEE.
